We bought ticket at the entrance. As a diver we find it enjoyable to know the history of diving. The entire room is not spacious. It’s not too crowded, only one other family group, so we can enjoy all the exhibition slowly. We spend almost 2 hrs there. We all had a good time.
An incredible and well put-together museum about a niche topic! It's engaging, well formatted, and simply fun to learn about. There are numerous exhibits that I found interesting but I especially liked the wall of dive helmets narrated by one of the founders of the museum, Dr. Joe Bauer. It's worth a visit, even with no interest in diving
I was honestly blown away by this museum. Incredible collection, laid out really well, and all the content is engaging, clear, and concise. It is small, but we spent over an hour soaking it all up. Well worth the price of admission!
One of the coolest museums I have ever been to for drivers and non divers alike. Lots of things to interact with. The staff were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed!
Great museum - if you’re doing a Keystone road trip and driving down to Key West, a stop by is very worth it. The staff is super friendly and the tour (it’s self guided) at your leisurely pace is full of interesting learnings about diving. You can fill an hour here if you soak it all in.
A very interesting and well displayed museum. There is a wall of helmets from all over the world. There is an exhibit that gives a sort of chronological history of diving and the equipment used. There is even a scavenger hunt for kids. I think one of the coolest things they had that I've only ever seen in one other place was a narwhal tusk.
The museum was fun and informative. As scuba divers, it was interesting to learn the evolution of the equipment we use. Another plus…we were able to bring our dog with us.
Wonderful museum that has grown from a private collection of diving equipment and artifacts to a unique museum of everything connected to diving and saving from the sea. Visited with my husband and teenage daughter on a rainy December'23 day. Spent about 2 delightful hours there
